Winter/Spring 2025 Line-Up!
We had an insightful 2024, discussing two C.S. Lewis essays, reading John Dickson's Humilitas, discussing Dechurching via the new book by Davis and Graham, receiving Jon Tyson's guidance in Creative Minorities, discussing a Christian approach to politics, and wrapping-up with James Paul's What on Earth is Heaven.

Join Thoughtful Faith this Winter/Spring (late January to mid-May) for five essential conversations that will provide insight and guidance as we think about:

JANUARY 2025: 'Just War' -- thinking together about the theories that 1) morally justify entering or starting a war, and 2) the moral conduct acceptable in a just war. With the war in Ukraine likely ending (in some way) soon, this is a timely conversation. Join the conversation on Thursday, January 23rd, 6:30 PM, CST!

February 2025: Racial Tension -- thinking theologically about race, considering the image of God, sin, and guilt. Also looking at Critical Race Theory, from a scholar's perspective, and how this informs our current contexts. Join the conversation on Thursday, February 20th, 6:30 PM, CST!

March 2025: Identity -- much has been said in the cultural/political realm, conservatives vs progressives, fluidity of identity and much more -- what can we take away from Biblical insights? Join the conversation on Thursday, March 20th, 6:30 PM, CDT!

April 2025: St. Augustine -- this 4th/5th century North African bishop has contributed much to Christian thought. What can he still teach us? Join the conversation on Thursday, April 24th, 6:30 PM, CDT!

May 2025: Stay Tuned! (Likely a lighter 'end-of-the-semester' reading, perhaps from the news at that time!) Join the conversation on Thursday, May 15th, 6:30 PM, CDT!
